Parent Seed Production Agronomist

Execute the parent seed production operations for pre-basic and basic parental seeds required to meet the objectives and targets of the plan

Follow the quality management systems within parent seed production ensuring that seed meets internal and external quality parameters

Optimal use of resources with the aim of achieving all parent seed production goals and effective operation of the program which involves equipment maintenance, inventory and management of contractors and seasonal employees

Investigate and implement improvements to execution of plans by identifying issues and challenges facing production of pure parent seed and developing solutions to meet these challenges which may include issues with pollination, the agronomics of producing various parental lines

Act as a recognized role model with respect to ensuring the compliance standards (QMS, Health, Safety, BioSafety, Stewardship, …) in the area of responsibility.
